IPAS Road Show Agenda
The IPAS Road Shows will include three sessions in one day:
Session 1: Protecting Information Privacy and Security: Scanning, Encryption & More (1-1.5 hr)
- Audience: Faculty
- Brief overview of IPAS: Phase I & II initiatives, role of IPAS-designated contacts (administrative, financial and technical)
- Importance in protecting institutional data
- Vulnerabilities that exist with electronic and paper data
- Faculty involvement in security initiatives
- Scanning overview and demo
- Panel discussion of “hot” IPAS-related topics (addressing encryption, local administrative privileges, etc.)
Session 2: Introduction to Information Privacy and Security (1 hr)
- Audience: Staff
- Overview of IPAS
- Group activity involving audience (data types, data storage)
- Importance in protecting institutional data
- Vulnerabilities that exist
- Protection measures for paper and electronic data (proper use and storage techniques)
- Staff involvement in security initiatives: direct effect this has on staff
- Group activity involving audience (what would you do scenarios)
- Case studies: real examples of data loss
- Available resources: knowing where to go when you need help
Session 3: Advanced Information Privacy and Security (1.5 hrs)
- Audience: IT Staff
- PCI DSS updates
- Phase II in more detail; moving forward
- New services offered by SOS
- Brief overview of Data Classification
- Panel discussion of other “hot” IPAS-related topics at the present time
Display Tables: set up in open areas of the presentation room. Participants can visit during break or stop by during one of the sessions

- IPAS literature (brochure, sample scan report, IPAS project phases, available training, services we offer, etc.)
